Our Divisional Franchise Partner: Meet Shaun Goulding
Before starting his career at The Local Guys – Pest Control, Shaun Goulding gained experience in the automotive industry. But in 2016, Shaun decided to make a change. With the financial support from his redundancy package, he entered the pest control franchise business, attracted by its potential for high profits as well as the stability and flexibility it could provide for his family.
Shaun's business quickly gained local recognition due to his dedication and expertise. He built a strong customer base, serving a variety of properties such as homes, businesses, wineries, hotels, disability centers, and national restaurant chains. Shaun was well-versed in handling different pest control challenges, from bed bugs to possums.
Although Shaun had achieved success, he desired more responsibility and opportunities for career growth. After observing the success of The Local Guys brand led by Jarrad and Stacey, Shaun saw the potential for personal and professional development within their franchise model. In 2021, Shaun partnered with The Local Guys as the Pest Control Divisional Franchise Partner. This move allows Shaun to not only expand his own business but also to mentor and support individuals aspiring to enter the pest control industry.
Jarrad has been working in the test and tag industry for more than 10 years and has managed clients with 1 to 10,000+ items. Over the decade, Jarrad has proudly won and managed many large tenders with government bodies and commercial businesses nationally. Additionally, Jarrad has trained and supported many technicians over the years.
Jarrad and his team are exceptionally passionate about the industry and franchising. It’s this depth of experience and passion that he shares with the Franchise Partners.
A Decade of Experience: Meet Jarrad & Stacey Goulding
Jarrad and Stacey are the key figures behind The Local Guys brand. Prior to starting their venture with The Local Guys, both Jarrad and Stacey followed different professional paths. Jarrad found his interest in the service industry over a decade ago during his travels around the world. On the other hand, Stacey built a prosperous career as a certified Accountant at a renowned company.
As a married couple, Jarrad and Stacey embarked on various hospitality and retail franchises and businesses, gaining hands-on experience as Franchise Partners. They delved into all aspects of the business, including marketing, accounting, and customer service, acquiring valuable insights into the franchise model from the partner's viewpoint. Motivated by their desire for a fulfilling family life and a balanced work-life dynamic, Jarrad and Stacey identified the exceptional success and flexibility offered by the service-based industry. Consequently, they shifted their focus and found great joy and satisfaction in their new direction. Their happiness was further enhanced in 2020 with the birth of their first child.
Having amassed over a decade of experience in the service-based industry, Jarrad has effectively managed clients ranging from small businesses to national corporations. His accomplishments include securing and supervising numerous significant contracts with government entities and commercial enterprises nationwide. Jarrad has been instrumental in training and guiding technicians, supporting their growth and progress.
Jarrad and his team demonstrate a deep passion for the industry and franchising, utilising their extensive experience and unwavering dedication to support Franchise Partners in their quest for success.
Jarrad brings over a decade of experience in the test and tag industry, overseeing clients ranging from small businesses to large corporations with thousands of items. He has successfully secured and managed numerous major contracts with government agencies and commercial enterprises across the country. Jarrad has also played a pivotal role in training and guiding numerous technicians throughout his career.
Jarrad and his team exhibit a strong enthusiasm for the test and tag sector as well as franchising. Their wealth of knowledge and dedication is shared with Franchise Partners, reflecting their deep expertise and love for the industry.
About Our Technicians
At The Local Guys – Pest Control, every technician is a Franchise Partner. This signifies that you are dealing with the proprietor of a small business within your vicinity, rather than simply a staff member. Consequently, our technicians are committed to their business and strive to deliver quality service to their customers.
All of our pest control technicians are required to have a current:
- Police Clearance Check
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- First Aid Certificate
- Full Pest Control Licencing to Operate
- Driver’s Licence and Branded Vehicle
- Gun Licence (where required)
- Working Safely at Heights Certificate (where required)
All technicians are uniformed and have $20,000,000 in Public Liability Insurance.
